Nerja is blessed with over 300 food outlets spread out across all the various areas. You don’t just need to limit yourself to the main tourist spots
Nerja Tapas & Restaurant Guide
If there is one thing which Nerja doesn’t lack, then it’s got to be food outlets. With over 300 food establishments, you will not be short of options or choice.
In the main town there are cobbled streets which are packed to rafters with restaurants, and then there are some main squares which are surrounded by just a handful of restaurants serving anything from tapas to burger and chips. Despite being tourist hot-spots, everything is still very sensibly priced and you will always feel like you are getting good value.
There are a number of restaurants away from the main areas too and I would always urge you to explore, as you are never too far away from a hidden gem.
Nerja Tapas Bars
When in Spain, do as the Spanish do! Drink, eat and converse with your friends and family.
When you order a drink in a tapas bar, it’s mostly customary to receive a tapas dish alongside it. This is a great way of immersing yourself in to the Spanish culture and can also save you a few Euros on lunch or dinner (the tapas is usually included within the price of your drink).
Most genuine tapas bars are frequented by locals and they can often look (and sound!) a little bit crowded. But don’t let any of that put you off. Once you’ve got your seat, you’ll be embracing it all before you know it.
TIP: If you’re unsure about where you want to have dinner, head out to a tapas bar first and then visit another couple. You’ll be surprised at just how much free food you get given.
Nerja Restaurants
Whatever you fancy for lunch or dinner, Nerja will have a restaurant to suit your tastebuds. Whether you’re looking for a taste from home or you fancy something Mediterranean, there is choice a plenty and all priced very sensibly.
If you’re after a romantic setting, then head to some of the restaurants around the Balcon de Europa where you’ll be guaranteed stunning views.
